BLAST Premier Fall Finals match

The showpiece tournament will kick off next Tuesday and feature four of the current top-five teams.
BLAST has announced the initial match-ups for its Premier Fall Finals, which will take place between December 8-13. Eight teams, seven of whom are currently inside the top-10 in the world rankings, will compete in a double-elimination bracket for their share of a $425,000 prize pool in addition to a spot in the BLAST Premier Global Finals, scheduled for January 2021.
The participating teams ranked each other after being split into two seeding pots, one featuring the three group winners of the Premier Fall Series, the other containing the group runners-up and the Showdown winners.

The first round is headlined by a blockbuster clash between Natus Vincere and Astralis, two teams who last met in the IEM Beijing-Haidian 2020 quarter-finals, with the CIS giants running out comfortable 2-0 winners. There will also be a rematch of last night's DreamHack Masters Winter clash between G2 and FURIA, which the Brazilians won after three maps.

Of the eight participating teams, two have already booked spots in the BLAST Premier Global Finals: Vitality, who came in second in the Spring Europe Finals, and Natus Vincere, who have qualified through the BLAST leaderboard, a ranking system that connects tournaments hosted by multiple organisers. Should NAVI win the Fall Finals, they will qualify for the Global Finals through that achievement, opening up an extra leaderboard ranking place.
